Visual identity for Morocco Amazigh Tours, a company that offers tours in Morocco led by local guides. The company is based in Merzouga, a small town located in the Sahara Desert.
Process
Creating the Identity
The client wanted to reflect the identity of the Amazigh culture of Morocco.
The logo architecture is based on geometric shapes inspired by 4 elements of their culture.
The Berber symbols that we can find in carpets, tapestries, tattoos and even in their writing.
The Atlas Mountains, which cross Morocco from east to west. Its Berber villages, nestled on the slopes of the mountains, provide a unique insight into traditional Moroccan culture.
The dunes of the Sahara desert that move slowly with the wind, creating a sea of sand that constantly changes shape.
And finally the sun, a very important element in the Amazigh culture.
The color palette is inspired by the berber flag. It is composed of 4 colors representing the territories inhabited by the Berbers in Africa (the blue represents the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, the yellow represents the sand dunes of the Sahara and the green represents the nature of the Atlas Mountains. On top of these 3 colors appears the letter yaz in red.
